The poster is not the video
A sharp poster tells you how the artwork is displayed. It does not establish the quality of a streaming edition. Use Watch now from the title, select an available option and check the format offered there. A film can have HD, full-HD and 4K editions without every service or device carrying all of them.
What the resolution labels mean
720p and 1080p refer to high-definition image formats. Consumer 4K commonly refers to an ultra-high-definition picture with more pixels. Resolution is only part of what you see. Compression, the source material, your screen and the player’s current delivery setting also matter. An older film can look excellent in a carefully prepared edition.
Let automatic quality settle
Some players adjust quality as the connection changes. If an image begins softly, give it a brief opportunity to settle before changing several controls. For repeated buffering, compare a lower fixed option if one is available. Check that another download or device is not taking most of the connection.
A practical big-screen check
Confirm that the selected service, plan and device support the format you intend to use. A television capable of displaying 4K does not make every incoming video 4K.
